THE SIGNATURES TO THE REMONSTRANCE AGAINST CONFEDERATION.—One of our Ministerial contemporaries has expressed a desire to know why Mr. Joly did not sign the remonstrance against the hasty carrying of the Confederation scheme through the Imperial Parliament. We are glad to be able to inform our contemporary that the reason why Mr. Joly did not sign was merely that the paper could not be conveyed to him in time on account of his being absent from home. He has authorized his signature to be affixed to the paper; but the authorization only reached town on Saturday, and of course too late to be sent to England.
