SIR,—

His Excellency the Lieutenant-Governor having received the resignation of John Locke, Esquire, M P. P., as one of the Delegates on the Union of the Maritime Provinces, I am instructed by bis Excellency to request you to nominate a gentleman to join the delegation in the place of Mr. Locke.
