SIR;
I have the honor to enclose copy of a correspondence with the Governor General of Canada, on the subject of a proposal of the Canadian Government to send a Delegation to attend the Conference of Delegates from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, with the view of ascertaining whether the proposed Union of the Maritime Provinces might not be made to embrace the whole of the British North American Provinces.
