GOVERNMENT HOUSE,
PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND,
28th July, 1864.
MY LORD,
I have the honor to inform your Lordship that as regards the place of meeting of the Conference for discussing the .expediency of a Union of the three Maritime Provinces, Charlottetown, the Capital of this Colony, has been mutually agreed on by Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. The time of meeting to be the 1st.day of September.
I feel it unnecessary for me to assure Your Lordship that I shall rejoice to receive in Prince Edward. Island, those gentlemen who may be delegated from Canada to attend the Conference.
