ELECTIVE LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
It is now decided, notwithstanding Sir Allan McNab’s recent announcement, that the Legislative Council bill shall not be proceeded with before the recess. We are glad that the Government had the decency to abandon such a mad project as the alteration of the Constitution, at the end of a session, when not half the members are in their place.
