MY LORD—I have the honor to inform you that, in accordance with the request contained in your Lordship’s despatch of the 23^rd September, I have appointed the Honorable S.L. Tilley, Honorable W.H. Steeves, Honorable P. Mitchell, Honorable J.M. Johnson, Honorable E.B. Chandler, Honorable J.H. Gray, and Charles Fisher, Esq. to be Delegates to attend the Conference on the subject of a Federal Union of the British North American Colonies, to be held at Quebec, on the 10^th of October, 1864.
