NORTHWEST TERRITORIES REPRESENTATION—YUKON REPRESENTATION.

Mr. FITZPATRICK. I will have to ask that the next two orders, the second reading of Bill (No. 117) to amend the Northwest Territories Representation Act, and Bill (No. 118) to amend the Yukon Territory Representation Act, be allowed to stand, in the absence of the Minister of the Interior (Mr. Sifton).

Mr. CASGRAIN. Of course, I have no objection in regard to the second order, that regarding the adjourned debate on the second reading of the Yukon Territory Representation Bill, because it was understood that my hon. friend would introduce legislation amending generally the Yukon Territory Act. But, I am very much afraid that, if we adjourn the debate on the first of these two, that is the Bill to amend the Northwest Territories Representation Act, it will not come up again this session.

Mr. FITZPATRICK. I think we ought to give my hon. friend (Mr. Casgrain) assurance that, if he will agree to postpone it now another opportunity for the discussion of it will be allowed, because the postponement is to suit our convenience.

Mr. CASGRAIN. Very well, on that understanding, I agree.

Order allowed to stand.
