My dear Frank:

Thank you for your very interesting letter of February 11th concerning my recent article. I appreciate the various points which you make particularly the point as to the time when the trend changed. What you say on this point is probably more exact than what I had said, but I was making a very general statement on the matter. I do look forward to reading your own study of the Residuary Clause though anyone writing upon constitutional subjects today runs the chance of having his conclusions falsified in the near future.

I shall be glad to send you the off-prints when my supply arrives.
