It has come to our attention that you intend to move in the house the reinsertion of Section 34, with an amendment and it would read as follows:
Section 35:
(1) The existing aboriginal and treaty rights of the aboriginal rights principles. (Existing) in the Webster dictionary means (to live at an inferior level or under adverse circumstances) if this is the interpretation, it once again strengthens our claims that, the federal and provincial governments wish only to extinguish rights historically and spiritually ours.
In the event that your motion is adopted, as parliamentarians you have failed in the eyes of the electorate to defend the principles you were elected to represent.
We are people of this land and we are inferior to no one except the creator. May the Great Spirit guide you, our elders, our children our people’s future is in your hands.
